AML / KYC Policy
Version 2.0 — Effective 2026-10-20
This summary explains the identity-verification ("Know Your Customer") and anti-money-laundering ("AML") checks we apply on the OneLMS platform, including the clazz.lk marketplace and the teacher and institute school sites, operated by Panoralink Business Solutions (pvt) Ltd (PV 00286766). Teachers and institutes accept it before their first payout or when they upload identity documents.
1. Why We Verify
Before we release educator earnings, and in certain other cases, we are required to verify identity and monitor transactions to prevent money laundering and financial crime.
2. What We Collect
We may collect and verify government identification (NIC or passport) and bank-account details, and match them against the account holder's name. We use these details only to verify identity, to pay you, and to meet our legal duties. Access is limited to the staff who need it.
3. Monitoring & Reporting
We monitor transactions for unusual activity and are required to report suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit. We may pause or decline a transaction to meet these obligations.
4. Record-Keeping
Identity and transaction records are retained for the minimum period required by law (currently six years after the end of the relationship), as described in our Data Retention Policy. You cannot ask us to delete these records before that period ends.
5. Tax Withholding Notice
Tax law may require an amount to be withheld from payments to teachers for their services. Where the law requires us to withhold, we will deduct the amount, pay it to the relevant authority and tell you how much was withheld. The rules about who must withhold, and the rates and thresholds, are changing, and we apply whatever the law requires at the time. You remain responsible for your own tax returns. See the Teacher Terms.
6. Your Personal Data
Identity and bank details are personal data. How we protect them, who we share them with, and your rights are explained in our Privacy Policy.
